HALF-WAY PERFECTION
The mosquito program of the St-Laurent Spartans has completed a perfect first half of the season (5-0). Following an already impressive series of result in pre-season, Steve Batsos’ troops never weakened the effort and reach midway of the regular season with two shutout wins during the long weekend over main rivals (Lakeshore 28-0 and Western 47-0). The team knows though that there is still a long way to go and that the most important dates of the year will take place sometimes during the month of November.
The other good new for the association is that the bantam program also notch its first win. An imposing success (49-0) at St-Laurent Park over the Rhinos puts Barry Castello’s team back in contention after two frustrating losses. As for the the other three Spartans representatives, we’ll have to wait another week to have a win on the board, despite some really promising efforts unfortunately that were ultimately unsuccessful.

PARFAIT A MI-CHEMIN
Le programme moustique des Spartans à complété sa 1ere moitié de calendrier de façon parfaite (5-0). Après une impressionnante série en pré-saison, ils ne se sont pas relachés et ont mis au tapis deux gros adversaires, Lakeshore et Western ce long-weekend par blanchissage (28-0 et 47-0). Les troupes de Steve Batsos savent que la route est encore longue et que les dates les plus importantes pour eux seront au mois de novembre.
L’autre bonne nouvelle de la semaine est que les programme bantam s’est aussi inscrit au tableau des victoires pour l’association. Un imposant succès au parc St-Laurent sur les Rhinos de 49-0 relance la formation dans la course, après deux frustrantes defaites. Pour les trois autres équipes, il faudra encore attendre la semaine prochaine après des matches prometteurs mais dont les efforts n’ont pas été courronnés de succès.
