Opening week 2012: Mixed fortune for the Orange & Black
(1) The Bantam started life in the Earl De La Perralle Division of the QBFL under new Head Coach Barry Castello. The former PeeWee AAA team coach lead his troops to a convincing win over the Joliette Pirates under inclement weather 33-6.
(2) The PeeWee team opened the association account in its new surroundings, the WMFL with an unfortunate loss to the Ile Bizard Vikings on the score of 26-7. FB/LB Anthony Moustache the lone scorer for St-Laurent on a 40 yard dash up the middle of the field.
(3) The Mosquito program avenged their elders' loss by almost exacting the score in reverse 26-6 to the Spartans. Steve Batsos' boys worked hard and completed their 11th straight regular season win after going a perfect 10-0 in the MRFL in 2011.
(4) The Atom team fell honorably to the defending Provincial Champions Vikings 24-6. HC Eric Girard will take the performance as encouraging in his quest to renew last season's performance when the oyunger Spartans reached the MRFL league championship game.
